Care for Yourself Program
Boone County Public Health offers the Care for Yourself Program, which is part of a national program that helps reduce the risks from breast, cervical, and cardiovascular health issues. To reduce your risks, you must have screening exams. The program has local staff that can help you schedule clinical breast exams, mammograms, pelvic exams, pap tests, and height and weight measurements. You may enroll for services if you:
- Are between the ages of 40 to 64
- Are 65 years old or older and have not enrolled in Medicare Part B
- Are under 40 years old and have a breast lump or other signs of breast cancer
- Meet certain income guidelines .
