Boone Orthopedic & Surgery Center

Quality orthopedic and general surgery services are available in the Boone Orthopedic and Surgery Center at Boone County Hospital (BCH). Two physicians, Dr. James Mueller, orthopedic surgery, and Dr. Richard Unger, general surgery, are available to provide you with the care you need, close to home.

Both physicians moved their offices from Comprehensive Specialty Care at BCH to a newly renovated area in the southwest corner of the hospital in the fall of 2007. The comfortable new office makes it possible for both doctors to have dedicated areas for their medical specialties.

	Dr. Mueller (pictured left)specializes in hips and knees, total joints, hands, arms and shoulders, sports medicine, and orthopedic services for children. BCH added a Radiographic Room in the Orthopedic Center in the fall of 2007 allowing for patients to have their X-rays done in the office rather than in the Radiology Department.
	Specialties of Dr. Unger's (pictured left)are gallbladders, hernias, colonoscopies, evaluation for reflux, hysterectomies, biopsies, hemorrhoids, tubal ligations, c-sections, and breast masses. BCH offers a state-of-the-art Surgery Department and an experienced surgery staff. The Boone Orthopedic and Surgery Center is located on the main floor of Boone County Hospital just inside the west entrance.
