Diabetes Center 
The Boone County Hospital Diabetes Center
The Boone County Hospital Diabetes Center offers high quality, comprehensive diabetes education. The diabetes team consists of a diabetes nurse and dietitian educators, a physician and other healthcare professionals. Each team member will work with you to develop a treatment plan that will normalize your blood glucose levels to help you live a long and healthy life with diabetes.
DIABETES SUPPORT GROUP
Meets the third Thursday of every month, 4 to 5 p.m., Boone County Hospital (BCH)
- March 20—“Diabetes & Neuropathy...That Burning Feeling”, Dr. David Koenig, Boone Family Practice, BCH Conference Room, 4th floor
- April 17—“Save Your Kidneys”, Dietitian, Davita Dialysis Center, BCH Conference Room, 4th floor
- May 15, 3 to 6 p.m.—Diabetes Health Fair, BCH Atrium. If you have diabetes, this event is for you. There will be displays on the latest in diabetes monitors, oral medications, insulin and other injectable drugs, insulin pumps, diabetic shoes, eye care with diabetes, management techniques and more! Diabetes experts will be on hand to answer your questions. Prizes will be given away! The event is sponsored by various pharmaceutical companies.
Please note, the Diabetes Support Group DOES NOT MEET June through August or in December.
