The Boone County Hospital (BCH) Emergency Room is staffed by physicians 24 hours a day under the direction of Dr. Tammy Chance, Medical Director. In addition, the Ambulance Department has paramedics and EMTs on site 24 hours a day.

For three consecutive years (2006, 2007 and 2008), the BCH Emergency Department was awarded the prestigious Press Ganey Summit Award.

The award recognizes top performing facilities that sustain the highest level of customer satisfaction for three or more consecutive years.

The award is the healthcare satisfaction industry’s most coveted symbol of achievement bestowed annually, and BCH is one of the few healthcare facilities in the United States to receive this honor.
