Volunteer Services

How do we pay for new equipment at Boone County Hospital?

Without the continued support given us by the auxiliary volunteers, the purchase of much of our equipment would become very costly. However, with consistent hard work and support from our many volunteers, much of this expense is eliminated.

The Gift Shop operated by our volunteers has extended hours plus a wide variety of products. They recently purchased a soft-serve ice cream machine that offers two flavors. All proceeds from the shop go directly to the hospital.

The Boone County Hospital Auxiliary volunteers not only run the coffee and gift shop, they also run the Boone County blood drive and Telecare (calling homebound individuals daily). Volunteers make baby caps for all newborns, deliver flowers, newspapers, and mail, wash and style patients hair, and serve as hosts throughout the hospital.
