Are Your Child's Immunizations Up-to-Date?

Parents of students entering college or junior high need to check their immunization records. All students entering college must be up-to-date on their immunizations; children entering 7th grade this fall are required to have one dose of the Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis) vaccine prior to the beginning of the school year. The Iowa Department of Public Health Bureau of Immunizations has completed the administrative rules process to require the Tdap vaccine for students enrolling in 7th grade.
