Dr. Downs Retires

A small party was held in honor of Dr. Downs’ retirement from Boone County Family Medicine (BCFM) on April 30th at Cedar Pointe. Clinic staff, hospital administration, physicians/partners, hospital board members, and friends and family were present.

Dr. Downs plans to continue staying on at Boone County Hospital (BCH) and providing endoscopies and proctoring some of the physicians that would like to learn how to provide them.

A tree will be planted on Dr. Downs’ property near Chariton as a gift from BCFM and BCH. Thank you to Rae Jones who was instrumental in planning the retirement party.
