Iowa Care Program

June 1, 2013

Boone County Public Health and Home Care Services of Boone County Hospital are involved in the Iowa Care for Yourself Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program. The program provides services to low-income, uninsured, or underinsured women who earn less than the set income guidelines and are not enrolled in Medicare Part B, and are between the ages of 50 to 64 in order to receive a free mammogram at Boone County Hospital. Women who meet these guidelines will also receive a health check with a participating doctor in Boone County which consists of a clinical breast exam, pelvic exam, and a pap smear. If you are interested or would like additional information, call 432-1127 and ask for Katie Hagan.
