Status: Full-Time: 30 - 40 Hours per Week
Shift Time/Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Days and hours may vary. 30 to 40 hours per week.
Education: High School diploma required. Certified Pharmacy Technician in good standing. Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the State of Iowa. Certified as a Pharmacy Technician through the PTCB (or equivalent) certified.
Experience: At least 6 months hospital or LTC experience preferred. Basic math skills and computer skills needed. Ability to work well in a small team environment.
Duties Include: Pyxis and prescription filling, charge audits, med area inspections, sterile compounding, able to use Word and Excel.
Position Summary: Perform under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Ensure availability and delivery of medications to authorized locations and personnel. Prepare and repackage medications accurately. Maintain in-date inventory of medications. Record and charge supplies and medications to the correct patient location or account.
