Department: Emergency Department
Position Description: Registered Nurse (RN)
Shift Time Schedule: 36 to 40 hours per week
Days: Monday thru Thursday
Education: 2 Year Accredited RN School. Current Valid Iowa Registered Nurse License must be in good standing. ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC within 1 year.
Experience: 1 year Emergency Department experience preferred. Must have a working knowledge of computers, excellent customer service and communication.
Position Summary: This position required exceptional service skills. Provide nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department. Requiring positive individual who is flexible with excellent communication skills, as well as having a commitment to teamwork and team problem solving in a solution-oriented manner. Must have excellent critical thinking skills as well as the ability to handle multiple issues and prioritize effectively. Supports the goals of Boone County Hospital. The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to the various age groups of the patients served in the Emergency Department. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess date reflective of the patient's status, and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements, related to his or her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the Emergency Department policies and procedures.
Duties Include: Position requires exceptional service skills, excellent professional communication skills, highly motivated, outstanding productivity, excellent team work skills with ability to problem solve and action plan with Peers. Requires a positive individual who is flexible.
