Position Description: Ultrasonographer
Status: Full-Time - 40 Hours per Week
Shift Time Schedule: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Days: Monday thru Friday
No Call Required!
We are looking for an ultrasonographer to join our team! Successful completion of an AMA approved School of Ultrasound Technology. Having AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology is a plus! Must be ARDMS,ARRT certified and Iowa Permit to Practice preferred but not required.
Experience: One year experience in a hospital setting preferred. New grads welcome!
Duties Include: Ultrasound of Abdomen, OB/GYN, vascular and small parts. Radiologic imaging including, not limited to, x-ray, c-arm and CT. Computer skills and excellent customer service. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to assist in providing care appropriate to the ages of the patient served (prenatal-geriatric) within the department. Maintains performance in compliance with State and Federal laws, and is consistent with high standards of business and professional ethics. Follows policies and procedures of the Boone County Hospital and department. Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain optimum patient cooperation. Operate the equipment within the appropriate anatomic settings, thus producing the lowest possible biological effects. Practice good Quality Control. Maintain effective communication with all levels of supervision and staff. Other Duties may be found on the Boone County Hospital Job Description.
Position Summary: Obtain ultrasound, x-ray and CT images of the human body, while using diagnostic medical equipment as directed by the Radiologist, by performing the duties listed above.
