Position Description: RSVP Greene County Coordinator

Status: Part-Time

Shift: Day

Shift Schedule: 15 Hours per Week - Flexible Schedule

Days: Weekdays

 

Requirements

Education/Experience: High School graduate or GED Equivalent. Previous experience desirable in working with volunteers, older adults, and or non-profit agencies or human services field.

Qualifications/Skills/Abilities: Ability to think and act independently and creatively while following the guideline and directives of RSVP, as established by the program director, sponsor agency, and federal RSVP regulations. Work in atmosphere of changing priorities. Good organizational skills (time management, projects, meetings, multi-tasking, etc.) Ability to manage a flexible schedule. Ability and comfort level to request in-kind donations. Understanding of and ability to provide internal and external effective customer service. Good oral, written and communication skills. Maintain good working relationships with a diversity of people. Maintain positive and professional attitude in all situations.

Position Summary: The RSVP Volunteer Program's position summary is as follows: Duties include raising awareness of RSVP; coordinating RSVP GAP (Grocery Assistance-shopping Program) and RSVP In-Home Visitation Program; collaborating with non-profits and other entities that utilize volunteers-recruiting and placing volunteers; appropriate program record keeping and reporting volunteer hours. The successful applicant will have ability to work effectively, creatively, and independently; work well with volunteers and local organizations; possess good written, verbal and computer skills. Familiarity with the county communities (or willing to become familiar) and successful experience working with older individuals, volunteers, non-profits, and public agencies is desirable.
