The Free Clinic of Boone County is a volunteer based healthcare program and is open the first and third Tuesdays of every month at First United Methodist Church located at 703 Arden Street in Boone. Check in begins at 5 p.m. and it is first come, first serve.
Anyone is welcome to come to the clinic. All patient information is confidential. The scope of care includes, but is not limited to, sports, school and employment physicals, minor injuries, illnesses such as colds, sore throats, ear aches, rashes, urinary tract infections, chronic care for diabetes, hypertension, asthma, family planning, STD screenings, pregnancy testing, assistance with prescription medications for qualified clients, referrals to community resources for wellness and prevention, and referrals through Free Clinics of Iowa for specialty physician care.
The clinic is for individuals that are uninsured or under insured. There is no cost, however, in-kind donations are accepted. The clinic is first come, first serve and no appointments are necessary. If you would like to learn more about the Free Clinic, log on to www.freeclinicsofiowa.org.
