2015 Scholarships
Scholarships from Boone County Hospital were recently given out to Boone County residents pursing an education beyond high school.
Congratulations to Rachel Braun, Boone High School, and Ashley Kirkpatrick, Madrid High School, who were the recipients of the Boone County Hospital Scholarship. Rachel received a $1,000 scholarship and Ashley received $500. This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance for tuition and books for a Boone County resident pursuing an education in a health related field.
Congratulations to Zoey Glenn, Boone High School, who received the Cid Metcalf Scholarship through the Boone County Hospital Foundation in the amount of $500. Cid was an employee of Boone County Hospital for 32 years. The purpose of the scholarship is to honor Cid’s memory by establishing a scholarship for a student pursuing a business or technical/professional program.
Congratulations to Josie McCombs, Des Moines Area Community College, for receiving a $500 Puntenney Scholarship through the Boone County Hospital Foundation in memory of Sigrid Puntenney and in honor of Sandra Puntenney. The purpose of this scholarship is to honor the accomplishment of these two women by offering financial assistance to Boone County Hospital employees, or their children, as they pursue basic or advanced education in a healthcare-related field.
