Pre-Employment Requirements
Boone County Hospital’s mission is to improve and enhance the health and well-being of those we serve.
All Applicants offered a conditional employment opportunity are required to submit a urine sample to be tested for illegal drugs upon receiving the conditional job offer. Applicants who fail to provide a sample for the drug screen, or who test positive for illegal drugs, are not eligible for employment with Boone County Hospital for one year from the date of the offer.
All applicants offered a conditional employment opportunity are required to submit a criminal background check and a child and dependent adult abuse background check. The results must be received and reviewed by Boone County Hospital before new employees are allowed to begin their employment.
All applicants offered a conditional employment opportunity are required to have a TB (Tuberculin) testing performed or have results from prior testing done within the last year.
Applicants offered a conditional position will be required to provide proof of the following immunizations or request medical or religious exemption with employee health:

Varicella
-
MMR (series of 2)
-
Tdap (this will be given if no record for the last 10 years)

Influenza (required by 10/31 of the hire year)
Records may be obtained from your medical provider, school/college, or previous employer. Applicants may begin working once the negative TB results have been received, and all other record of immunizations are received.
Applicants will complete a physical capacity profile test, which consists of a series of physical and isometric exercises to assess physical ability to perform the job duties of the position the candidate has been offered. Employment is conditional pending a passing level for the position offered. Applicants should be prepared that the test can take 30 to 60 minutes.
All new hires/employees must provide the following items prior to starting employment:

Copy of professional license/registration/certification (if applicable)

Driver’s license and proof of auto insurance if the job requires use of Boone County Hospital’s commercial vehicles or personal vehicle
If you drive for Boone County Hospital, you are required to have the appropriate current and unrestricted driver’s license. You will be required to furnish proof of your driving record as part of your application and may be required to release you driving record annually thereafter.
