Harvest Festival
Reunited, and it feels so good! After two years of a virtual event, the 14th Annual Harvest Festival was finally able to be held in person! Guests dressed in their lederhosen and dirndls for an Oktoberfest Harvest Festival, complete with a new brew from Boone Valley Brewing called “Krankenhaus Lager” (Krankenhaus = hospital in German) exclusively for this event. We went double the entertainment with The Dueling Fiddles during our social and dinner hours and Polka Police, who kept our crowd on their feet dancing long into the night.
In keeping with our Oktoberfest theme, we had two games for our attendees to play during the evening; Stumpfest (sponsored by TA’s Tree Service), where contestants tried to hammer a nail into a tree stump, and a stein-holding contest (sponsored by BVB). Scott Chitty and Mia Fredrickson were our Stumpfest winners and Becca Anderson and Tom Allen were our stein-holding winners.
Our raffle winners were Bob Flynn and Brad Filipiak, who each won a $250 Fareway gift card and a 6-month Beer of the Month Club membership.
We also kicked off our 2023 Fund A Need project, renovating the Physical Therapy department. Our crowd rallied together and donated over $16,000, at the event and over $6,000 outside of the event, towards this need. We brought in close to $15,000 from our auctions. We are always so humbled by and grateful for the generosity of our sponsors, attendees, and donors. We are still gathering the final net profits, but overall it was a successful event, and wonderful being back in person.
