Congratulations to Jason Carlson, Boone County Hospital (BCH) employee, who was recently honored as the 2015 Brown Award Winner.
Weldon J. Brown established the Brown Award in honor of his parents, Eunice D. and Everett C. Brown, long-time residents of Boone. Each year, hospital employees nominate co-workers for the award the demonstrates outstanding service and exceptional accomplishments. The BCH Employee Rewards and Recognition Committee then selects one employee from all of the nominations that were submitted to be recognized.
One of Jason’s co-workers nominated him for the award and wrote, “Jason is someone that any manager or administrator would want to work with because he is not only intelligent and knows his job, but he maintains a positive attitude through any difficult situation. He was hired as an ER tech, but he soon was doing much more than the job description. He has wonderful organizational skills and a vision of how to improve things. He takes it upon himself to do this and it’s very much appreciated by the staff. His reputation for being highly skilled and very agreeable to help in any situation has spread throughout the hospital. At any time Jason may be found working in any of the patient care areas of the hospital. He’s always capable of helping EMS and does an excellent job. The patients love him and feel very taken care of by him.”
Recently, Jason was recognized for his outstanding work by Joe Smith, BCH CEO, and Sandra Linn, BCH Emergency Services Director. He was given an award certificate and a monetary gift.
