BCH Program Receives 2025 One Track Program of the Year Award
Boone County Hospital’s (BCH) Senior Life Solutions (SLS), has been named the 2025 One Track Program of the Year, by Psychiatric Medical Care, which manages the program.
Psychiatric Medical Care (PMC) partners with more than 250 hospitals and health systems across the country to provide behavioral healthcare services. Top-performing employees and Senior Life Solutions programs are recognized annually based on their excellence in demonstrating PMC’s values of care, compliance, and community. Award recipients were chosen for providing outstanding patient care, excellent comprehension and execution of compliance regulations, and strong community engagement.
“This award was such a surprise,” says Brittany Gus, RN, SLS Director at BCH. “We are so thankful for this award and will continue to strive for excellence.”
SLS's supports the unique needs of individuals, typically 65 and older, experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief and other mental health challenges that are often associated with aging. Program staff includes a board-certified psychiatrist, a nurse practitioner, a licensed therapist, a registered nurse, and other trained professionals to ensure each patient receives the best possible care.
Program staff may include a board-certified psychiatrist, a nurse practitioner, a licensed therapist, a registered nurse, and other trained professionals dedicated to helping older adults in our community navigate difficult life transitions and regain their quality of life. Services offered by Senior Life Solutions include a confidential, comprehensive assessment, group, and individual therapy, family therapy, medication education and management, and after-care planning, where we continue to engage and support our participants. Even though this is a group setting, we address each person individually based on their unique needs.
SLS recently expanded at BCH to reach more community members in Boone County and surrounding areas. Families, friends, community members, physicians, self-referrals, or other health professionals can refer people to the program.
