COVID Testing Available for Symptomatic Individuals Only

July 22, 2020

News Item Image

Due to a shortage of COVID test kits, the Walk-In Clinic and Boone County Family Medicine outpatient clinics will only be testing symptomatic patients for Coronavirus.  We will no longer be testing asymptomatic (no symptom) patients who may have been exposed to someone with Coronavirus.

Per Iowa Department of Public Health recommendations, it is not indicated for employees to be required to have a negative Coronavirus test before returning to work if they have been exposed.  Those employees could be two days out after the exposure and return to work, but four days later test positive.  Employees are encouraged to wear face masks at all times!
