First Baby of 2025 at BCH

The first baby of 2025 was born in the Family Birth Center at Boone County Hospital on January 1 at 1:38 a.m.  Congratulations to new parents Marymar Reyes Rivera and Felix Castro Rodriguez on the birth of their daughter Mariel Castro Reyes.

As the New Year's baby, the parents received a gift basket for little Mariel from the Family Birth Center staff and physicians.  Items in the basket were a bath tub, diapers, wipes, children’s books, bibs, a swaddle, a blanket, a pacifier, a stuffed animal, a New Year's onsie, a baby brush, diaper cream and a baby bath kit.

Mother Marymar received a brush, a hair tie/clips, a blanket, lotion, a face mask, chocolates and snacks.
