Kathi Craven is 2014 Brown Award Winner

Nominations for the Eunice D. and Everett C. Brown Award for outstanding hospital employee were submitted to the Rewards and Recognition Committee prior to the end of December 2014.  Employees were encouraged to nominate a deserving co-worker who participates in hospital activities in addition to his or her job, does outstanding work, promotes a positive image for Boone County Hospital (BCH), is a team player and is active in the community.  

This 2014 winner is Kathi Craven, RN, pictured with BCH CEO Joe Smith.  Kathi works in the Emergency Department and also takes turns as House Supervisor.  She has been with BCH for 33 years.  One of her co-workers wrote, “Kathi comes to work every day with a smile, positive attitude, and a bounce in her step.  She is courteous, competent, confident and compassionate.”  Another co-worker wrote, “She respects not only the people she works with, but also the patients and their families.  She is willing to serve others.”
 
In addition to Kathi, there were eight other deserving employees that were nominated.  They were Heather Addy, Information Systems; Cindy Bishop, Surgery; Tami Hartwig, Human Resources; Marilyn Stumbo, Home Care; Dena Sytsma, Family Birth Center; Becky Turbes, Home Care Services, and Keith Vermillion, BCFM,Ogden.  Congratulations to all of you for being nominated.
