New After Hours Clinic Opens July 5th

June 6, 2016

Boone County Hospital (BCH) is excited to announce the opening of their new After Hours Clinic on July 5 from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.  The new clinic will be located in the West Clinic of BCH, inside the west doors, first office on the right.

At the clinic, individuals can receive expert care from our experienced medical care providers.  No appointment is needed and insurance will be filed.  Care will be available for minor illnesses and injuries such as:  sore throat, sinus infection, sprains, urinary tract infections, abdominal and back pain, migraines, upper respiratory infections, and post-surgical infections; more serious illnesses and injuries will need to be seen in the Emergency Room.

“We are glad we can offer this much needed service to the community,” says Kim Schwartz, Administration Assistant, Physician Clinics.  “It’s not always easy to get to the doctor during the day, especially if you work full-time.  And, it seems like healthcare issues always seem to arise in the evening or on the weekend when your doctor’s office is not open.  Rather than making a trip to the ER for more serious illnesses and injures, we felt it was necessary to add a service that could help with those minor illnesses and injuries that happen at the most inconvenient time.”
