OB Services at BCH
Earlier this spring, Dr. Tracey McIntire and the Gabrielson Clinic for Women announced that Dr. McIntire would be discontinuing the delivery of babies at Boone County Hospital. This change will take effect on July 1, 2021.
Boone County Hospital remains committed to our OB service. We are very fortunate to have two excellent family medicine providers that are experienced in OB with another provider joining our Medical Staff in the fall. Dr. Rienera Sivesind (right) and Dr. Lindsay Hay (far right) have 21 years of experience in labor and delivery, and both provide c-sections as a part of their practices. Dr. Kate Linkenmeyer will be joining Dr. Sivesind and Dr. Hay later this fall.
Women who have delivered at the Family Birth Center at BCH already know about the exceptional, personalized care they offer. Our staff have long been recognized for the quality of care they provide, and they continue to grow with the addition of new services such as VBACs (vaginal birth after c-section) and nitrous oxide (50-percent nitrous gas and 50-percent oxygen). Together with Drs. Sivesind, Hay and Linkenmeyer, they look forward to continuing this tradition.
BCH is also planning to add additional GYN services in Boone. You will hear more about these services as plans are finalized. Boone County Hospital has a long history of quality OB care, and we plan to continue that tradition, and we’re committed to providing the best in women’s health care.
