Rose Award Winners

Congratulations to Boone County Hospital (BCH) employees Ethan Patterson, Rehab Services Director, and Addison Enns, Social Worker, on receiving the BCH ROSE (Recognition of Service Excellence) Award. This prestigious honor recognizes staff who exemplify outstanding service, dedication, and positive impact within our hospital and community.
The ROSE Award celebrates individuals who go above and beyond, reinforcing the values that define BCH and inspiring excellence across our organization. Ethan and Addie received their awards during National Hospital Week in May, with additional staff also recognized for nominations.
Ethan was nominated for his exceptional care in helping a young patient recover from a severe car accident. When other facilities hesitated, Ethan found creative solutions to support mobility and independence. Through innovative techniques and hands-on problem-solving, he helped the patient regain dignity and independence—ultimately achieving a goal once thought impossible: running again. Today, the patient is able to run three miles, a testament to Ethan’s dedication and belief in his patients.
Addie was recognized for her compassionate advocacy and unwavering commitment to patient-centered care. She consistently goes beyond expectations—often returning on her days off—to ensure patients have safe and appropriate discharge plans. Known for her empathy, attention to detail, and teamwork, Addie supports some of the most vulnerable patients while fostering trust and collaboration among staff.
In one particularly complex case, Addie demonstrated remarkable persistence in coordinating care for a patient without reliable support systems. Through tireless outreach and advocacy, she helped secure emergency guardianship, ensuring the patient’s safety and dignity. Her actions brought clarity, stability, and reassurance during a critical time.
Ethan and Addie exemplify the very best of BCH. Their compassion, innovation, and commitment strengthen our care teams and improve the lives of those we serve. Congratulations to both of them.
