Senior Life Solutions Program Receives Program Finalist of the Year Award

February 13, 2025

Boone County Hospital’s (BCH) Senior Life Solutions has been named the 2024 Program Finalist of the Year Award, by Psychiatric Medical Care, which manages the program.  The award is recognition of the outstanding performance in the 3Cs:  care, compliance and compassion.

“As a new team member, I am not surprised that this award has been given to the BCH Senior Life Solutions Program due to the unmeasurable efforts I’ve witnessed this team put into their work,” said Brittany Gus, RN, Program Director. “This award shines light on the dedication this team puts forward each day. Showing a team that gives their best every day while providing our patients and partners with commitment and compassion.  It is an honor to be a part of such a committed team and to serve such a wonderful community.”

Boone County Hospital’s Senior Life Solutions, program supports the unique needs of individuals, typically 65 and older, experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief and other mental health challenges that are often associated with aging. Senior Life Solutions program staff includes a board-certified psychiatrist, a nurse practitioner, a licensed therapist, a registered nurse, and other trained professionals to ensure each patient receives the best possible care.

“Receiving Program Finalist of the Year Award is so special to me,” said Jordan Rexroat, Office Patient Coordinator. “There were a lot of things going on in 2024 and due to the wonderful support of Boone County Hospital, PMC, and our great team, we were able to get through it. It is an honor to receive this award and something I will brag about for years to come!”

“Being a part of the SLS program has been so rewarding,” said Lynn Wilson, LISW, Program Therapist. “Receiving this award and just being noticed for our hard work makes me proud to continue working hard at taking ownership of our program and am so grateful for the opportunity to serve our community in this way. I am overjoyed for this recognition and all that PMC does to help us be successful in our mission.”
