The Volunteer Auxiliary at Boone County Hospital makes an impact not only on the hospital, but on patients and families as well.
Gifts Galore Gift Shop is run by the Volunteer Auxiliary and is open Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (special hours are offered during the holiday season). All proceeds from the gift shop go directly to the hospital.
The Volunteer Auxiliary sponsors projects throughout the year which include: scholarships, hospital equipment, and special projects. Volunteers have a huge presence at Boone County Hospital and can be identified by their blue smocks. They work in many areas of the hospital including: Gifts Galore, Surgery, and the Lobby. In addition, they help with open houses, and special projects.
